An Irregular Choice shoe purchase is always a reason to cheer the soul. Sadly, still feeling rotten, but happily, I have a pair of (small) heels ready and waiting for all those trips I’m dreaming of taking :)
Here is my entry for the Space exhibition at the Cardiff Design Festival, run by Staziker Jones design company, and judged by Ben Cox of the Central Illustration Agency.
Mine’s the one with the birds. I’ve gone for a hand drawn rather than computer drawn, using pen lines, and a mix of pencil and watercolour pencil. I also refined in Photoshop to lift the colour a smidge.
My inspiration was watching the birds one morning through the window, and wondering a) what they were chatting about, and b) why some were set apart from other groups… lonely, wanting some peace, or maybe just sleeping?
I am feeling post holiday demotivated, and need to kick myself up the proverbial to get going on new work, in between other work. Oh for another holiday!
Since it’s been a particularly stressful and busy week, wine and chocolates are a definite must have! :D
It’s taken so long to get finished as it comes second to paid work.
